Grace and Peace to You

dock

It's hard to imagine but once this world had very few written words. Today we are inundated with words. Podcasts by the millions, tweets, posts, videos, streaming, and so, so many written words. I've become numb to all the people who are trying to persuade me to agree with their opinions through a barrage of words, especially, when their meaning is hidden in half-truths, misrepresentations, and flat-out falsehoods. Yet, Mary gently reminds me that WORDS have MEANING. In this week's reading, we see many words with simple and wonderful meaning. Words that bring comfort and remind me of God's awesome love for us. Words to live by. Words to embrace. Words to keep us from the evil one. Words starting with "Grace and Peace to you".

Grace and Peace to you

Live a worthy life …

Have endurance and patience…

Be strengthened in God's power …

Give thanks …

Share the inheritance …

Kingdom of light …

He rescued us ….

Redemption… forgiveness …

By Him all things were created …

Making peace …

He has reconciled you to present you holy without blemish …

Continue in your faith …

The hope of glory …

Encouraged in heart …

United in love …

Rooted and built up in Him …

Buried in baptism …

Raised through faith …

Set your hearts on things above …

Clothe yourselves in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience …

Forgive one another …

Over all virtues put on love …

Let the peace of God rule in your hearts …

Let the word of God dwell in you richly …

Sing with gratitude …

Whatever you do, whether in word or in deed, do all in the name od the Lord Jesus …

Submit, love, obey …

Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart …

Devote yourselves to prayer …

Be watchful and thankful …

Make the most of every opportunity …

Let your conversation be full of grace …

Live in peace …

Encourage the timid …

Help the weak …

Always be kind …

Pray continually …

Give thanks in all circumstances …

Hold on to the good …

And the Lord will come down from heaven …

With a shout … and with trumpet of God …

… And we shall live with the Lord forever.

Amen
