![]() TYM FAMILY SUPER BOWL PARTY 5 pm As much as we love hanging out together and having the comfort of knowing everyone at the party, that’s not what we are supposed to be about. We want to reach people who need the Lord. That’s why this year we are using a slightly different format for our Super Bowl Party. In past years we had the game on, great food, video games and a number of fun things to do in the gymnasium. We are going to do all of that again this year. However, it’s not going to be about us. This year it is about the family that has been on your mind. You know they don’t have a church home but you haven’t had the opportunity to introduce them to your Christian family.
If your child has a friend that they want to bring, then we want to help you invite and host their entire family. If there is a family that has no church home but just isn’t ready to experience a formal Sunday setting, this may be the opportunity to start them thinking. We plan to have some activities for smaller children. If the family has a teen but also has a younger child they are all welcome!
We will have finger food, drinks, and multiple TVs in the fellowship hall for parents to watch the game. Everyone is welcome in the fellowship hall but, the teens may want to watch in the café, play on the inflatables in the gym, or play video games in a classroom. Please let the families know that they do not have to stay for the entire game. Since some families may have younger children or may have to get up early for work the next day it is perfectly fine to leave whenever you need to.
Please take full advantage of this opportunity to connect a family with the group of believers here at Twickenham. Above all we ask you to pray. You can pray that the event is successful, pray for a family to be revealed to you, or pray for the courage to invite the family that has already been placed on your heart.
Thanks,
Darren and Kerry
