The Twickenham App
Twickenham, in conjunction with the Back to the Bible Organization, offers an app for our church members, and anyone with whom you would like to share. The most basic purpose of the app is to help us engage and be in the Word of God on a more regular basis. At Twickenham, one of our Core Beliefs is Hunger for the Word, an insatiable desire to know God more. We acknowledge that we need to be in God's Word and applying it to our lives. It's easy to be godly at church or during class time, but what about at 9:15 AM Monday or 10:45 PM Friday?
The Center for Bible Engagement along with Back to the Bible have surveyed over 150,000+ people around the world about their spiritual lives. A key discovery from their research is that the life of someone who engages scripture four or more times a week looks radically different from the life of someone who does not. Christians who do not engage the Bible most days of the week are statistically the same as the lives of non-believers. Someone who engages the Bible four or more time a week is:
- 228% more likely to share faith with others
- 407% more likely to memorize scripture
- 59% less likely to view pornography
- 30% less likely to struggle with loneliness
This Twickenham app delivers a personalized experience with the Bible at the times when you need it most by providing timely, thought provoking spiritual interruptions wherever you are. Each message is designed to encourage you in your unique spiritual journey. To load this app, simply go to the App Store, search for Twickenham Church and download it (free). Once you set up your login, you will have access to daily Bible reading and tracks/studies, a spiritual profile that will help you identify strengths, areas of growth and tailor your daily Bible readings towards the results, notification of church events and news.
Our prayer is that this will help you in your daily walk with the Lord and be an ongoing reminder that we all need to be in the Word! If you have questions once you load the app, contact Steve Crigger.
